Eyefinity Center Monitor 120hz??

Post by Caeriod »

I've looked and am not sure if it can be done but I have a single monitor that is 120hz (samsung 2233rz) and two others that are

60hz monitors. Seeing as how most of my attention and interaction will be focused on the center screen I was wondering if there

was a way to set up eyefinity to enable the center monitor to be set at 120hz refresh while keeping the two side ones at 60hz.

I've tried all sorts of configurations and can't seem to set the center one at 120hz. If I do a 2 monitor eyefinity setup it will allow

me to set it at 120hz but at 3 monitors there's no other option but 60hz.

Unfortunately, I don't believe that you can.

The problem is that Eyefinity works by making the OS think that your three monitors are one monitor. In order to do what you say, it would be like having the center third of a single monitor at a different refresh rate than the rest of it, which is impossible.

You'll have to get three 120hz monitors in order to do Eyefinity at 120hz.

I was afraid of that. I thought that it may be possible due to the fact that when i do a 2 screen eyefinity setup it does allow me to set one monitor at 120hz while the other runs fine at 60hz.
