5x1 Portrait Videos

Post by suiken_2mieu »

So I've seen a couple of people with setups already, Anyone want to go ahead and make a gameplay video either using SoftTH or Windowed Mode. I'm just itching to see it in action.

Once the drivers are out I'll post something for ya. I don't even play on it because of the lag in window mode.

PCPER has a video with some 5x1 portrait gaming with Dirt 2.

Computex is a wonderful thing.

Awesome Video! You would need to sit farther back (just a smidgen) in order to really enjoy this.

And whats this? No sit down racing with a wheel?
Professional... well I'll figure that out.

Well, while a racing seat and wheel is for sure the full "immersion"... I rather prefer to play with the gamepad, too. First, a racing seat, that I would call a "racing seat" would be *really* expensive  ... Second, I'd be too lazy to change seats from normal chair to the racing seat + wiring etc. just to play an hour or two. (The PC I'm gaming on is also the PC I do my work on.)

I dunno, doublejj0305 has a pretty sweet setup with a racing seat to boot. I'm sure he's got a wheel to attach as well. It doesn't seem like it'd be too hard.

But now that I think about it, I'm better at Dirt with a Controller anyway (I'm sad about that actually).

Well yeah, maybe for someone who is working and going back and forth. But mostly was referring to this booth... I mean... it's a booth with 5 Screens. You think they could have partnered with Logitech or something in order to get something cool going.

I found the PCPer Video:

http://www.vizworld.com/2010/06/eyefinity-amd-booth-computex/

It shows off AMD's booth as well, dive in.

Also the initial Youtube Video was down this morning, so here's a re-post:

There are several videos of the ATi Fusion booth at Computex. Just search for "Eyefinity" and filter "by date" on Youtube.

Looks like that is running the games in windowed mode instead of fullscreen. So 5x1P drivers may still be an issue.
