4800x900 possible?

Post by atledreier »

I have the misfortune of running 16:9 monitors on my TH2G digital, and alot of the resolutions are for 16:10 monitors. That means I'm stuck at 4080x768 as my highest resolution.

Is there any way to add the 4800x900 resolution so I can at least get a little more vertical resolution? Or even the 5600x1050 resolution?

I can run 5040x1050 just fine, but the aspect is wrong and I can't stand that.

Running dual 4890 and Catalyst 10.2 drivers.

I sent matrox a nice little email, explaining how 16:10 monitors are all but gone, and need some more support for 16:9 monitors and asked them to add 4800x900, they promptly told me, that until there is more of an outcry for a certain resolution, they would not add it. Sorry mate, the only way i see it happening is with all of WSGF getting together on this, but, more than half the people here are transferring to Eyefinity everyday.

I was afraid of that... How hard can it be to make a new resolution anyway? Sheesh....

edit: I realize why not many bother to cry to Matrox about this... Man, those people make it hard to send them an email... Well, they're not sending me away, that's for sure. I'll get that email sent if it kills me!

Do it, cuz i'd like to play at as 16:9 res bigger than 1366x768 per monitor. I have 1080p panels.

Actually my panels next res is 1776x1000, and 5328x1000@60Hz is within Duel-Link DVI and DP1.0/1.1 Bandwidth Spec. But I think that's a lesser used resolution.
