Should I update drivers?

Post by fatlazyhomer »

Im currently using 9.12s because 10.1s broke "turn off monitor" for me. But lately Ive been getting choppy frames in MWLL at native. I'm hoping to lower it to 50x10 or something, but I know thats not possible with 9.12s. I believe the feature is in the latest 10.3s, but I don't know if they fixed the power thing or not. The power thing is more important, so I want to know from those that migrated, did it get fixed?

I thnk th lower resolutions became available in 10.1 or 10.2. I use 10.3 for the bezel management, but 10.2 gave me the best performance. I've never had power issues so I cun't speak to that.

Monitors not going into Standby was fixed with Catalyst 10.2. Install the leaked 10.3 press release driver and enjoy all the new benefits!
