5970 eyefinity game freeze problem

Has anybody tried eyefinity and need for speed shift with 5970? Screen freezes after loading. single screen works like a charm!

I have had problems with Shift as well with my 5870 the game freezes up a lot. I have to manually turn my pc off because it will just be stuck there. I have heard there is a patch coming out to fix performance with ATI cards.

Hopefully there will be another Catalyst Update real soon. And hopefully it fixes some of the Eyefinity issues.

No I havn't had a problem with NFSS. I use 9.11 hotfix driver and the 1.02 NFSS patch. Before the patch I used to rename the shift.exe to grid.exe to improve performance.

I did have a menu freeze problem when Steam was running in the background but shutting down steam fixed that.

Eventually i solved the problem,well, not really true, i gave up trying.I got me a whole new setup now, and an active dp>dvi,and decided to install shift again.Eureka!!!it works.
