wonder if this will have the same zoomed fov when selecting surround resolutions.. hopefully its fixed by default but either way, we got some code crunchers here to write a fix.

multi-monitor gaming ftw!

edit:

I have the game, as I said on the FAIL thread I would buy it if my clan did and they did. What I have is the problem that it starts up in some res my system doesn't support so minimises itself. I have had this before but I cannot find where to set the start up res. As I haven't started it yet I have no player profile I can modify!

God knows what the game is like. I will try and install it on my laptop and copy the player config across, after changing the res GROAN.. unless anyone has a better idea.

EDIT: D'oh found it in the config.cfg, without a player folder.. I originally searched for width not seta r_mode !

Help us DopeFish, you are our only hope! Has an auto aspect ratio setting, but this is what comes up:

I will play the MP tonight in 1920x1200, I don't mind that. But will await a fix before I start on the SP campaign, I want the full glory!

I have sent Dopefish an email to the effect that I will gift him a STEAM copy if he fixes it, he certainly deserves it!

I say don't even bother dopefish with ModernWarFAIL. Let it die by itself.

Here is the other thread:

Yeah if DF is a full on boycotter, I would certainly respect his position. Ans suck it up at 1920 :p

Me I am mainly buying it for the SP campaign, if anything like 4 twill be awesome. My clan and I will play a little MP, not much cos it is not a great SQUAD game (like BF) and I am not so put out as to not join with my friends. I signed the petition and I hope we will see dedi servers soon!

So would you guess the FOV is set @ 65, as indicated in pre-launch interviews? Any way to verify this in-game or config files?

Is it different from MW1? I found the FOV in that game to be fine.

If a FOV Hack comes out make sure that you DO NOT use it online, it will probably get you VAC banned. And well its one thing to get a CDKey banned, its another thing to have a game permanantly tied to your steam account banned.

Single-monitor FOV seems the same as the original game to me... a little tight, but very playable.

Yeah same for me, to tight for 16:10 (obviously going to be worse for 16:9) but same as 1.

Same Engine, Same Shiite, Different Game!
