3 Dell 2209WA problems at maximum resolution

Post by iceaddiction »

Hi guys,

I have a TH2Go with 3 Dell 2209WA running with a Supermicro X7DWA-N and Nvidia 260 under Windows 7 ultimate 64x. I can't force the monitors to run at the maximum resolution... only 3.480...

Any suggestions please?? Anyone know how to set'em up????

Thanks in advance!

No problems with the 2209WA's, I have three here running 5040x1050 with Win7, plenty of posts here detailing how to acheive this and issues you might have.

I've got the same monitors running on 2 GTX 275's on windows 7 64 bit.

The only way I coule get them to run at max resolution is to use the custom PowerDesk software (modified by Matrox) made for nvidia 200 series cards, and nvidia drivers version 182.50.

Here are the steps I did.

1) Uninstall your nvidia display drivers and the matrox software.

2) Run Driver Sweeper to ensure NVIDIA display/physx drivers are gone.

3) Reboot

4) Plug just one monitor directly into your video card (not sure if this matters, but couldn't hurt)

5) Install Nvidia 182.50 drivers.

6) Reboot

7) Hook up your matrox box to your pc again.

8) Install custom PowerDesk software.

9) Reboot

Worked for me! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks a lot for the info...Just one thing, what you mean with custom powerdesk? Is not the same as I can download from matrox webpage? Or is something tweaked???? I can only find this version: 2.05.00.020!!
