Cheap Single monitor mount/elevate option?

Post by Tallon29 »

I have 3 19" Dell Widescreen monitors as my TH2G setup right now just sitting on my desk. I have just ordered a 24" 2408 monitor for non-surround gaming and hopefully to be one of three 24" monitors someday in the distant future when we can do 1900x1200x3 reliably.

I'd really like to have the 24" monitor above my 3 existing monitors facing at a downward angle, like so (forgive the horrible text drawing)

Code: Select all

         --------------------

           |                    |
           |                    |
           |                    |
           ---------------------
   ----------- ------------- ------------
   |          ||           ||           |
   |          ||           ||           |
   ----------- ------------- ------------

So my question is, does anyone have any cheap suggestions for desk-clamp based single monitor mounts that could accomplish this? Cheap as in sub-$50. Otherwise, I'm considering possibly using bricks or something to elevate the 24" monitor above the 19" ones.

all i can think of for that price is a wall mount for the 24" with pivot adjustment. IIRC its a 100x100 VESA mount

New 24" Dell 2408 just arrived. Here's a crappy cell phone pic of my current setup, with it straddling my 3 19" monitors hooked up to the TripleHead2Go.

I just set the monitor on 2 stacks of glass block ;)
