The 5040x1050 48HZ Issue

Need a little help here with a new DTH2G setup.

I setup my TH2G with Samsung 2223SW monitors. I was able to get 5040x1050 at 57HZ on PowerDesk but monitors showed 48HZ refresh rate on monitor OSD

I understand from last 2 days of searching that there is a problem with GTX295 and 285 pixel clock that prohibits 57HZ. Post #46 at: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2028407

My questions are,

1) Is this a Vista only problem or is XP also included ?

2) Has anybody been able to run Samsung 2243WM at 48HZ ?

I took back my 3-2223SW due to not being at native resolution. Looking to buy Samsung 2243WM as a replacement.

Running Vista64 sp2 with a GTX285. Nvidia driver 182.50. PowerDesk 2.05.
