Saw the release of 186.68 in the PC Gamer Hardware newsfeed on the left. Hit the release notes and still the problem.

EDIT

I thought I had got these damn drivers working for Win XP for 5040 x 1050, well I did... however two reboots later and my 3 main screens went blank again... turns out its reverted back to Auto for the resolution.

The odd thing is I had no issues setting a custom resolution when I booted in to VGA mode by hitting F8 and selecting VGA safe mode.

Now if I want to get the damn thing to work in proper windows I have to use Clone mode on my secondary monitor which is only a 1024 x 768 and edit the setting again.

Version 190.38 has been released. Same issue still noted in the release notes:

I'm sure, but you can check the release notes to verify.

Yep, as always ;)

Hey Ibrin, where does it say 'No 5040 in Vista/Win7 ya boo to you' in the release notes? I can't find it...

Page 9. First bullet under GeForce 200 Series. The issue is that custom resolutions are not validated.

Windows Vista 64-bit Issues
Single GPU Issues
• NVIDIA Control Panel: Adding a custom profile with an open bracket in the name
results in an error. [437056]
• Half Life 2: Episode 2–the in‐game brightness is greatly reduced if Enhanced or
Override AA is enabled from the NVIDIA Control Panel. [429254]
GeForce 200 Series
• GeForce 200 Series: When entering custom resolution values from the Manage
Custom Resolutions page, the values are not validated. [524691]
• GeForce GTX 295: Settings on the ʺAdjust desktop color settingsʺ page are at 0% for
the secondary Clone or Dualview mode display. [514218]

I can create custom resolutions in Vista x64 and Windows 7 RC x64 with 190.38. However, I cannot set the screen scaling; it just resets to the default automatically.
