SR2 PC only supports 4:3 and 16:10 resolutions. It will auto detect what resolutions your computer can support when loaded and will allow you to select the various options from that pool. There is no 16:9 option available, but there are multiple 16:10 resolutions available.

thats the official response i just got on there forums which just boggles my mind that games now a days cant have native widescreen support for both 16:9 and 10 . im bummed.

Unreal engien, eh? I guess that means we're in for some vert- action? Weird that a port would not have any 16:9 options. How is the porting, anyway?

How about some 4:3 to 16:10 comparison shots?

I personally doubt I'll buy this game unless it's cheap..

You gotta be kidding me?!!

I also don't have any 19x10 option. Closest I can get is 12x10 and that is crap.

Anyone check to see if this game has proper widescreen yet?

Edit: Just checked. Bioshocked all the way baby!!! Top and bottom of the screen are cut off.

Well if its not true widescreen at 16:9 I don't really care I guess. I'd rather just run at 4:3 and use my TV to full stretch view it. I can deal with fat people, heh.

The game might be "Bioshocked" but the FOV looks fine in 16:10...

Game looks good in 1920x1200... I have no 1680x1050 option though, which I was going to try to inscrease performance.

Inscrease performance you say? Yes indeed, because performance sucks.

Works fine for me... but here's s direct link: http://blog.gib.me/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/gibbedsaintsrow2resolution.zip

Pretty stupid, the only game-default resolution i woudl consider using is 1280x720. But upon game restart it tells me that it can't do it and revert to 10x7. Doesnt; list anything close to 1680 or 1440, but still lists 1920x1200, but NOT 1920x1080. Not that it really matter to me and my 1680 displays, but still goes to show how slack they were in porting.

Plus the game has a stupid 30fps cap.

And when you make your character nude, it gets censored. :?

THough pleasntly, the hack ends up getting my res to HOR+. A nice surprise.

And here I thought I might get saints row 2 instead of bug city IV.

I knew the saints row devs wanted to copy much of it but you know, bugs and other crap shouldn't have been included.

Shameful, they should put in rules where a publisher is forced to recall and reimburse all copies of it's game when such a pitiful display is provided.

this game lags on my rig, it's playable...but my 1680 by 1050 res isn't available by default and it lags in the lower resolutions with the graphics all the way up. My computer should be able to handle this game just fine!

I tried to tell everyone GTAIV is actually highly optimized and great, but everyone else just can't comprehend it. :)

dopefish, I don't count post-release patches, a game shouldn't be that unstable and buggy out the gate, there was a time when a game going 'gold' meant something, now it no longer does.

We need to make a new avatar tag for you ! "Superior, wise beyond mere mortals. We are but dirt on this man's shoe!".
Damn maybe that won't fit. I haven't thought this through. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find you something patronising enough ! :)
