widescreen projector help

I wanted some help from those with experience with projectors

When changing the resolution on a normal monitor the pixels are stretched to cover the entire monitor.

I wanted to know would a projector use the same space on a screen running at the resolution 1280x1024 as 1280x800? or would it also stretch the pixels

all but crt (no longer produced), such as dlp, lcos, lcd, etc, projectors behave same as a regular monitor and stretch the image if it isn't native res. with varying centered or stretch options depending on models, same as monitors.

im considering setting up a dual head for two projectors, that helps alot
