GTA IV in TripleHead ...

It works out of the box ...
I didn't need to change any settings it automatically started in TripleHead and I see no big TripleHead issues at this time ... 8)

It's a bit system hungry ..
This is the maximum settings it would allow me ...
View Distance is what eats the video memory and on my system it wouldn't allow me to go any higher than 26% ...
It doesn't look bad although there is no option for antialiasing and forcing it in the Nvidia control panel doesn't work for me.
It is just about playable with those settings so AA would probably kill it off anyway.

I cropped this screen down ... there was a lot of black ...

You have a bad ass? that sounds painful.....

Yeah I have seen a few reviews pointing out that GTA4 is the new Crysis when it comes to hardware requirements.....and they can play it on a 360 PoS!

Both the PS3 and the 360 versions have horrible pop-in items/buildings/cars etc - but the PS3 is less bad there from my experience. They also don't run at 5040x1050, either - they do more like 640p, which is then upscaled. On both my PS3, and a friends 360, there are also occasions where it tries to go slideshow. ;)

I'm just grumpy about yet another game with irritating restrictions. :(

PS3 version is 1152x640 with no AA, 360 is 1280x720 with 2xAA. I wonder what the issue with AA support on the PC version is.

I guess "unsupported" simply means there's no official SLI profile in nvidia drivers at the moment, nothing unusual. Some quick benching should at least help you find the better mode, even though it's not "optimized" yet.

This PC port is a joke. The graphics is nowhere near as good to be this demanding. I also have SLI GTX280 and the performance is just tragic. All other games run 100% >60fps all the time in 3840*1024. Except Crysis, which runs 30 - 60fps in 1680*1050 DX10 very high, but it looks almost like a freakin CGI movie so I accept that.

GTA4 looks mediocre, yet runs WORSE than Crysis. To play it on my PS3 seems almost more fun.

I think the game looks great considering all that is going on in such a huge world.

Some shots with and without the blur effect ...
Press P in game to toggle on and off.

With and without the blur effect ... and featuring the re-coloured orange car ...

I wasn't being sarcastic ...
It was more a case of ... I didn't know what it was called ... I typed "Dunno ... "
I then took a look ... it said Turismo on the back so I added the ... "it says Turismo on the back."

I'm glad Dem was able to work it out for us all ... :P
