Any chance for an FOV fix for this game... I think RacerS did a version for TR8... I always wonder why companies say their games are fixed for 3840x1024 when they quite clearly are not

Cheers

patience. Right now the market is overloaded with "holiday" game launches...while most of them do not support proper widescreen.

Thanks mates.

Well, the community did develop a triple screen hack for this but thought they'd keep it a secret.

I mean, why would they announce any new developments for this title in a triple screen forum when instead we can all read posts from people asking for any news about it every five minutes?

These forums are not places for the attention deficient. If a hack is forthcoming I'm sure it will be announced.

What are you talking about..?
we arent asking for a HACK...
we just want the FOV to be fixed while playing with three monitors (Field of View)
b/c right now it is stretched and there is no way to fix it

THis is the perfect forum to announce those kind of fixes man
i mean, where else would they announce it?

got it to work
just go to regedit
Software --> Crystal Dynamics --> Tomb Raider --> Graphics

and then change Aspect Ratio to 48000

I haven't tested it yet but I assume its the AspectRatio.

I found it in Vista under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Crystal Dynamics > Tomb Raider > Graphics > AspectRatio

REGEDIT for Tomb Raider

Post by kevintrisha »

I tried the 48000 as written before to fix Tomb Raider Underworld. It was way too narrow. I used 9750 in the registry and it was just right. Not sure what it all means, I just played with it until I got this number....now it is perfect. Hope this helps someone.

EDIT: I took someone else's advise and clicked the decimal box before entering the 48000 and now it is perfect. Great advise.

When you set the Registry entry change the value to decimal first it defaults to hex thats why its too thin :D

Thank you for the reply. I will have to try your suggestion. So far that 9750 works and even up to 9999 works great. If I got past to 10000......then it looks like crap again......I guess the decimal thing messes it up. I would have to have this whole thing explained to me some time...but again, thank you for the extra explaination!!

I know this is an old thread, but the game won't start to me if I use any eyefinity rez, a message says 'failed to initialize D3D on these settings'. What's wrong? I tried the registry edit to no avail.
I'm running 3 full HD monitors on 1 5870 (ccc 10.6).

Same problem than Avatar_raq, I can't choose any eyefinity resolution. If I set the game to 1920x1080 in the launcher and try to change it inside the game, it simply won't work, it does nothing. 5870 with Catalyst 10.8.

The funniest thing is that it worked two weeks ago before I did a full format and reinstall.

Any clues?
Asus Rampage IV Formula / Intel i7 3930K C2 / 32 GB G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3 2133 Quad Channel
Corsair Force GT 60 GB SATA3 / WD Caviar Black 2 TB / Seagate Barracuda Green 2 TB
3 x Radeon 7970 in Benq XL2420T (EyeFinity 5760x1080 @ 120Hz)
