The game has recently been released for PC(Japanese release was in July, English and German were this month), and supports(or should, according to the website) all 4:3 and 16:9 resolutions up to 1920x1080.

I'm requesting some sort of hack of fix for it to run at 15:9 resolutions, as 1440x900 is my default one.
Any help would be appreciated.

PS. I am well aware of the problems everyone has had with previous DW games to make them run on widescreen resolutions. But I thought that, since this game already comes with some widescreen support, it MIGHT be easier than the rest in the series.

1440x900 is a 16:10 resolution. I know the demo supported this resolution. I played the demo in 1920x1200.

I am suprised that the retail version lacks this support.

Meh. It appears the english demo does not have support for 1440x900 or 1680x1050. The demo also appears to lack save functionality.

I found the resolution list in the executable but changing one removes it from the game and changing all causes a crash.

Koei usually has a "Koei" folder in the usernamemy documents folder if you are using xp. They may keep any save data there or in the actual game directory. There might be an ini file but with Koei I doubt it. They have terrible conversions to PC.

Wish I could help more but I am working blind. Sorry.

No ini file, sadly. I'd have tried that already had I found one.
There's the usual .dat file every KOEI game has had so far.

Koei's MO is to use a counter in the save file to link to different hard-coded resolutions. For example an "0" would be 640x480 and a "1" would be 800x600 and so on.

The resolutions list for DW6 is below. The game is 16:9 anamorphic so the left column is the viewable area and the right is the actual resolution.

640x360/640x480 4:3
800x450/800x600 4:3
1024x576/1024x768 4:3
1280x720/1280x720 16:9
1280x720/1280x768 15:9
1280x720/1280x960 4:3
1280x720/1280x1024 5:4
1600x900/1600x900 16:9
1600x900/1600x1200 4:3
1920x1080/1920x1080 16:9
1920x1080/1920x1200 16:10

What is really sad is that they have every 1280 resolution under the sun except for 1280x800.

However, if your system supports aspect scaling you can get a fairly acceptable fix for your system. Just have the 1280x720 resolution scale up to a letterboxed 1440x900 with a 1440x810 viewable area.

There are a bunch of tutorials on this site if you need help.

As far as I could see, nothing of what is here is of use.
The tutorials for upscaling are for either older versions of nVidia drivers or for ATI. And my monitor doesn't support fixed scaling.

By the way, the game by no means looks bad in the current resolution I am using(1280x720/1280x768, as I think it's the closest there is to what I have), but it would be nice to use my actual resolution.
