Weird...I hadn't noticed it doesn't support any single-screen 4:3 resolutions, but it does support 2x1600x1200 :?

By default the GXM does not display single-screen resolutions. To get it to do so, do this:

1. Open C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMatrox Graphics IncPowerDeskSEGXM2Gxm2.ini

2. Edit the following line:
ShowSingleModes_4_3=true

3. Restart PowerDesk

Matrox told me this a while back. See if it allows 1600x1200 for you. If not, I have some more ideas. I am trying to get 1280x960 @ 85 Hz, personally, and I've been unable to do so.

but I AM ABLE to use single 1600x1200 display on my windows desktop

when I set in my video card setting "enable unsupported modes"

but that is only good for desktop games don't detect that resolution

It is able to do it. I am using it in 1600*1200 and have 2 other monitors in 1600*1200 connected to the second video card. Its truth, that you have to fool around to make it use that resolution.

I have two 1280x1024 and a 1600x1200. Using the last version of the PowerDesk software I can switch quickly from 1600x1200 to 3840x1024.

Just setup the proper configuration in Windows and then save it using PowerDesk "Edit Mode List..." button.
