playing crysis widescreen problem

i know crysis supports widescreen,(i have a 19"wide 1440X900, but the problem is this resolution will give me lags cause my pc isnt that powerful for this type of reso, i want it to play it in 1024 X 768 no matter how bad the grfx goes plss help me out currently wen i do it i see screen cut outs from left and right

Crysis is very hard on a lot of systems. Poor poerfomance can be many many things.

WHen askign for help, post you computers specs along with your problem, as well as what OS you use.
