Re. TripleHead2Go Problem

Post by toktiny »

Hi there,

I have been useing the TripleHead2Go for some time now and wonder how I ever managed without it. I use the 3840 x 1024 settings for three 20" flat screen monitors and they work fine. However, I have two small problems which I find a little irratating at times and wonder if anyone can help me put them to bed. They are as follows;

1. Occasionally my FPS will drop from the usual 25 - 30 down to 4 - 6 and remain at this . How I can bring it back to 25 - 30 is to press "RESTORE DOWN" (which reduces the screen number to one) and then press "MAXIMISE" which will bring back the three screens and also restore the FPS to 25 - 30. Why is this happening ?

2. Again on occasions all three of my screens will get a pink hue for a short time (avg. 5 seconds) and then will restore to normal vision.

As I have said above nether of these two problems are constant and they happen as seperate items at random. The drop in FPS which does not correct itself but remains "Locked" until I carry out the remedy outlined. I should also mention that I use "Smart Close " to close down all unneccessary programs while FSX is running.

Many thanks for any help which might help.

The pink hue sounds like a problem with your cables, a way to test this would be to jiggle the cables and see if this happens.

Hi there,

Many thanks for your reply.
I am afraid that I have tried this with the cables several times without success and also have removed the Matrox software and reloaded a number of times without fixing the problem.

I had a 7950 GX2. I traded it to a friend. He had issues a week later and sent it in for warranty. He got a 9800 GX2 back. D'oh!

I wonder if you card is going bad on you.
