This is my first post , but i found a more simple method to wide Simpsons Hit And Run in stretch mode.

First open the Simpsons.exe in a HEX editor. Then Search for.

80 02 00 00 c7 00 e0 c1 00 00 c3 c7 01 20 03 00 00 c7 00 58 02 00 00 c3 c7 01 00 04 00 00 c7 00 00 03

u see that, the bolded is the resolutions disponible in game

8002 E001 = 640x480
2003 5802 = 800x600
0004 0003 = 1024x768

change the bolded values to your desired resolution

Remember to flip the 4 digit HEX values when you enter them. For example..

1920 in hexadecimal is 0780
Entered in the file 1920 is 8007

Example:
In the game your resolution is 800x600 , and you want to change for 1440x900
change the values bolded for:

20 03 00 00 c7 00 58 02

a0 05 00 00 c7 00 84 03

finally open the simpsons.ini file located at game folder. In the botton of file there's a config:

#System
display=fullscreen
resolution=800x600
bpp=32
gamma=1.000000

change to

#System
display=fullscreen
resolution=1440x900
bpp=32
gamma=1.000000

finished , Stretch in anyone resolution!

P.S:I'm a brazilian, sorry for erros!

Francisco, have you checked the Detailed Report - http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/simpsons-hit-run ? This seems to be the best and easiest widescreen solution for this game, the widescreen hack you mention used ArtMoney and can be found here http://widescreengamingforum.com/node/5928 (post #2).
