To add options to the target line of a shortcut ...

Post by Paddy the Wak »

To add options to the target line of a shortcut ...
Such as the resolution for a game like Stranglehold or Battlefield 2

This example is to add a TripleHead resolution to the Stranglehold shortcut ...
Text to be added to the shortcut target line ... -ResX=3840 -ResY=1024 ...
So it should read something like this ...
"C:Program FilesMidway GamesStrangleholdBinariesRetail-Stranglehold.exe" -language=eng -ResX=3840 -ResY=1024

Click the images to see them actual size ...

Right click the games shortcut ... this could be ...

On the desktop ...

or somewhere in your start menu.... choose properties ...

a box like this should appear ...

See the target line with a blue ring around it ...
Any additional text you need to be added is just typed in at the end of the existing line.
The additional text in this case is highlighted in red ...

Don't miss the spaces ... they can be very important ...

AFAIK you can't. You have to find the game exe and create a new shortcut for it that you will edit and use to run the game.
