What Steam games support stats and/or achievements?

I know there's TF2 and Portal. Are there any others, or is that it?

Ep2. I'd say that all Valve games that are released on 360, will have the achievements mimicked on the PC.

Neither DoD:S or CS:S have any sort of achievements, unfortunately.

Well, i've played dods since it came out. If it had some points i could add to my gamerscore that would have been cool :lol:

Besides the question asked, I would like to know if you have to play with your net connection enabled for the achievements to register? I prefer to play Steam based games in offline mode for security and performance reasons.

The second time through I played Portal in online mode to make sure the achievements registered. Next I want to try for all achievements in Episode 2 but it is less tolerant to performance hits than Portal is.

Achievements are disabled in Offline mode. Kinda sucks since even the Xbox allows you to do it, just your profile doesn't get updated with it.

How major are these performance hits? I've never noticed them before.

Well let's just say my X800XT suffers terribly from the infamous HL2, FEAR, Doom3, STALKER stutters and if I use FSAutostart to shut down all background programs and unnecessary services including those which keep the net connection active, I get noticeably smoother gameplay. Even at the start of HL2 before you can move when the G Man talks he doesn't s-t-t-t-tutter.
