Read Full Detailed Report - Overlord

Overlord is an action adventure game that lets the player control Minions and order them as the player sees fit. In the story, the Minions find the main character in the rubble of the old Overlord's tower, and thus believe him to be a reincarnation of the old Overlord that was killed by the Seven, now corrupted Heroes. These minions, therefore, aid and serve the player loyally as their master. The game will be released in June 26, 2007 on both the PC and Xbox 360. The story revolves around the ever growing Minion armies who are trying to kill the Seven Heroes who destroyed the original Overlord. Since then the Seven Lords have slowly become the living embodiment of The Seven Deadly Sins.

==Screen change==

It's preferable that the widescreen shot in this section be 16:10, because that's what most people will be using.

Extra note : All game intro movies [logos and such] are in 16:9 and are letterboxed for any ratio which isnt 16:9 , letterboxing is off in 16:9 .

Are all of these intro movies logos, or are there any that have to do with the actual game? If the former, you don't need to mention them. If the latter, you need to provide screenshots of them in the cut-scene section.

==Supported resolutions==

What about 1280x720? Did you test this?

==HUD stretch==

Can you provide screenshots that include a HUD? Your default ones seem to be HUDless.

==Cut-scenes==

Again, can you include screenshots of the cut-scenes?

== Grading ==

(waiting for your response)

-changed to 16:10 SS
- there are 2 logos and 1 (8 second or so) game logo movie [a bunch of imps putting together the overlord sign] , pretty much nothing to do with the game and they're rendered properly in anamorphic 16:9 anyway.
-1280x720 is there in the menu and working fine.
- added some screenshots with HUD intact
- unfortunately its pretty hard to come across a cut-scene but its exactly the same as normal gameplay but with some minor letterboxing at the top and bottom of the screen. rendered properly and etc. if i come across an autosave just before a cutscene i may add it.

If that's it, then screenshots are not necessary.

if i come across an autosave just before a cutscene i may add it.

Please do. This is required in order to get certification.

I just tried the demo, and I can confirm that 1680x1050, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200 work. Unfortunately, the game is just not playable on my machine, so I can't provide cut-scene screenshots. That's all that's missing to certify this game.

I would like to note that I have major performance problems on widescreen resolutions.
In example:
1280x800, details high: 8 FPS in an outdoor environment
1280x1024, details high: 30FPS (cap) in an outdoor environment

A support request is still running.
System:
Athlon X2 3800+
3 GB memory
8800 GTS 640 MB

By the way: it isn't suprising that this game fully supports widescreen, it's multiplatform (Xbox360+PC), and since xbox'es usually are attached to widescreen TV's it's no suprise.

My 8800GTS 320MB @650mhz works fine at 1920x1200. Rivatuner reports about 250MB of ram usage. I'm getting about 40-55fps. Athlon 4200+ X2 w/3GB of RAM.

My 7950GX2 hits the 30fps cap in all resolutions, except for 2560x1600. I'm hitting mid-20's there. And, I can confirm that the GameTap release supports all resolutions as well.

I'm pretty sure that if you're playing the GameTap version, it's up to them to keep their games patched.

the patch gets ride of the 30fps cap.

1.2 is the current version. My 7900GS is eating it up...it only slows down with massive minion action. Very playable at 1680x1050.
