Sorry Bump This Topic Again for the 50 millionth time.

squ1zzy claims that he has bypassed or got Sof2 to run in widescreen.

Well i dont understand if hes running MP in widescreen.

Ive chatted with him a few times and he tells me that he is running MP at a widescreen resolution.

I believe the Site for the hack is http://www.squ1zzy.nl under the S section.
The Problem is that it patches sof2.exe(which is the singleplayer) in the Soldier of Fortune II Folder not the sof2mp.exe therefore how do you get MP to run in widescreen?

So if anyone has got this game to run @ a widescreen resolution please post and help, would be very much appreciated :D

Please Give some advice :D. This game is giving me a headache :(

I've made a patch for MP. But ibrin said there was support for MP allready, so i deleted the patch and removed it from my website.

He's got it backwards. There's already support for SP (you need to hex edit a dll file to get correct FOV - I don't know if your hack does this), but no support for MP.

And are you sure that Punkbuster kicks you for using a widescreen resolution? Because it's no trouble to increase the FOV in multiplayer.

FYI, I sent you a PM about two weeks ago that had a few questions, one of which was about SoF2, but you never responded. Did you not receive it?

Can you explain how to use this patch cause when i patched the sof2mp it ran like this which i know is not 1650x1050

The trouble is in MP with PB is you can't modify an .exe or add .dll or any other "3rd party" file into the game directory, because of MD5 checks on every file.

I think it's worth giving up on lol.

On latest PB servers with an added MD5 tool installed, it will kick you for SURE when it checks all your files. But this should work on non-PB servers or servers without the MD5 tool installed.

Great patch Squizzy, :D just what I was looking for to try out an old favorite on my 3 monitors! Any chance of updating it so it will allow a custom FOV too please?

Does PB kick for sure with this? Damn shame they took out custom res commands from the MP version.
