cant decide

Hello, im new to this site well because i cant decide what type of monitor to get. wide screens are nice monitors but so are fullscreens. I like to play EA Racing games need for speed carbon, and test dirve unlmt. but i also play WIII and D2 Lord of destruction, doom 3, mafia, quake 4 oblivian... you know so what would be best? wide or full. and on wides is there away to make it full(having the black bars on the side so that it becomes full for games that dont support it)?

yea after i posted this i kinda felt dumb for not lookin around first but i found some stuff. but will they make a patch for d2 or ea games ever?
