Pacific Fighters - Need help

Post by urban1 »

Hi all

I have pacific fighters stand alone version, so there is no entry in sgu for it

i can get 3840*1024 by editing the config file and it works ok

but i have a problem, the view is zoomed in to far, and i cant find a way to zoom out far enough to be comfortable

i have set up buttons on my joysick to raise and lower fov, but it still wont let me zoom out far enough

i have read its been done, because people comment on how the wings sweep forward when you are zoomed out, but i cant figure out how to do it

please help me find a way to get a wider fov, i really want to play this game in all its widescreen glory

Hey,
I just got Pacific Fighters for a couple of euros and I have the same problem :

No entry in the SGU[/*:m]

3840*1024 working but the FOV not wide enough[/*:m][/list:u]
Anyone knows a solution ?

[Edit: so that's how
works...]

No solution guys. I wish there were.

Check this thread (Pacific Fighters and 46 are all the IL2 engine):

http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/7749

"IL-2 is designed for a 4:3 aspect ratio and simply cuts the top and bottom off to achieve widescreen, and that this has been discussed with Ubisoft and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

If that's the case (and they seemed pretty confident it was), Matrox won't be able to fix it, either. It's a problem even on a single widescreen monitor."
