desktop wallpaper to stretch?

Post by jaesun »

So I just got my Dell 20" Widescreen 2007FPW ... along to compliment my Dell 20" LCD (2001FP).

Hooked it all up (about to run some basic tests).

but I noticed one thing. With my widescreen as primary, and regular as secondary, the wallpaper on the regular 20" is "widescreen" the bottom and top is like not stretching fully.

Is thi ssomething that can be fixed? or is it normal? the wallpaper setting is set to stretch and all

no, its a regular wallpaper for normal monitors. i can tell it stretches for the widescreen. just, i think it keeps it "widescreen" for the regular monitor too.

Grab a program called 'Ultramon'

I'm using it at the moment and love it.

Can have a different wallpaper on each monitor, and display a different resolution on each one. Plus loads and loads of other options.

The 'Smart Taskbar' is my favourite feature that I've played with so far though 8)

is the program cpu intensive? ive heard of such programs, but they tend to bog the computer down, even if u have good hardware

Ace man! I've been looking for something like this for ages that's simple to use and works as it should. I love it already.

And no, from what i've seen it uses zilch (or close to) CPU usage and hardly any memory at all (few mbs).

This is so much easier with wallpapers and windows n stuff. Before i was making my own custom wallpapers to tile it across 1680 and then 1280 on the normal 4:3 monitor.
