What ratio is your LCD ?
Hey ...
J.C. started a poll over on the Matrox forum asking what ratio screens people were using ... I thought it would be a good idea to start a similar one here ...
So lets have your vote and maybe the make & model ... :D
Such as ...
Dell 2001FP ... 4:3
Dell 2405FPW ... 16:10
etc ...
If you have more than one monitor and they have different ratios ... please vote for your favourite ...
Thanks guys ... lets see what is the most popular ... 8)

What's most popular in the widescreen gaming forum? Gee I wonder. Still, the results will be interesting, but not very scientific.
At home: I use 3xDell 2405FPW 24" 1920x1200 16:10 widescreens.
At work: I use my Dell Inpirson XPS Gen 2's built-in 1920x1200 16:10 widescreen and 2xDell 2001FP 20" 1600x1200 4:3 screens (sorry no picture yet).
I use MaxiVista and a secondary computer to drive them all at full resolution at both home and work. And for gaming at home I use a Matrox TripleHead2Go.
Don't forget to vote in the poll over at Matrox's TripleHead2Go forum as well: http://forum.matrox.com/mga/viewtopic.php?p=102878.

... ... I know/hope the top one will be a widescreen ... ...
I was kind of hoping the results may help Matrox decide which widescreen ratio would be best to add to the TriplHead2Go ...

J.C. startted a Poll over on the Matrox forum to see what people would like ...
I figured ... what is the most popular widescreen ratio ... and therefore what would be the possible resolutions ... and may be this would help Matrox decide what would be the best resolutions to add to the TripleHead2go in the future ...
Where better to get a view of popular widescreens and their ratios than here on the WSGF ... :D
Matrox chose to add two widescreen resolutions for the TripleHead2Go
1280X720____________16:9_______________3840x720
1280X768____________15:10______________3840x768

What I meant is that with the current res limit of 1280x1024, then 1280x800 is the highest res 16:10 res you can use.

Yeah, they really need to add 16:10.
I figured out that I can afford 2 more of these Dell beauties and a matrox in a little under a year, but then I need to add time for 2 DX10 cards. :P

Good old fashioned 16:10 for me, though I often switch b/w 4:3 on other monitors in the house. 16:9 sounds interesting - I wonder why 16:10 become the defacto standard for widescreen pc displays instead of 16:9? Too low vertically perhaps?
What ratio is your LCD ?
As far as I have heard, 16:10 is supposed to be the "original" Widescreenâ„¢ ratio, but that might be just bollox. Personally I got a 4:3 (1400x1050) laptop, 15 inch or something, that recently decided not to live anymore which brought a lot of frustration since my current location doesn't have the widest options in tech support, but after all those long days of toil and tears I decided to give myself a gift for... well I needed a new computer. So I got a 24 inch 16:10 1920x1200 which I will get my handson in no less than 5 days.

I'd love to get some feedback from anyone who uses a 16:9 - i've gotten very curious about that lately.
