BF2 Online gaming with 1680x1050

Dear all,

first of all, many many compliments for the great forum and community over here.... Keep on keepin on.

Now to my problem:

I can play BF2 offline with 1680x1050 using the Desktop Shortcut Extension.

But when i wanted to play online using xfire or All seein Eye to connect to BF2 Servers, I can only get 800x600 up to 1156xsomething within the BF Video Options Menu ingame.

When I`m trying to edit my video.con (doesn`t matter which ;-)) the game starts for seconds, than keeps crashing to Desktop...

How are u handling the 1680er Reso for playing online ???

I cannot find a solution on that link myself.

DO you have to mondify xfire's .ini file to run the custom resolution script that you use for your shortcut to BF2?
