NFS: Porchse Unleashed

Hi all:

I just tried NFS: Porsche Unleashed, one of my favorite games, on my new computer (GeForce 6800, Dell 2005FPW), and there is a setting for 1680x1050, but upon loading it definitely looks stretched.

It may be a bug of some sort? Sad thing is everything else is good, and even the 2D overlays like lap info, speedometer etc. are perfectly normal looking, so the game must have been designed for widescreen, but it is not working for me.

Also, for some odd reason on my system, even 1280x1024 doesn't work right; it is actually SQUISHED compared to 1024x768. Although my monitor is set on ASPECT. I'll set it on 1:1 and that theoretically may help.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else had this same problem with NFS Porsche? I would love to be able to play this game on true widescreen!

BTW my copy of NFSPorsche was bought in London, so it's the European version, with the name NFS Prosche 2000, but that shouldn't really matter I would think.

This isn't a fix, merely an observation...

1280x1024 is a 5:4 ratio... not a 4:3, which is probably why it looks 'wrong' when compared to 1024x768...
