Wide screen gaming

so let me get this strait. i am about to purchase a widescreen sager 8790 laptop and final fantasy XI to play it on. are you telling me it wont run or look good? should i just get a standard laptop screen

FFXI supports a native widescreen resolution. It will fill your WS laptop, without stretching or distorting. I don't know about that specific model, but if it's specs meet the game's, you should be good to go.

do you know any star wars game(specifically kights of the old republic) run in widescreen format

KotOR has some problems... a member of this forum (Wogg) has coded a hack that sets the resolution to widescreen ones, but whether it works or not seems to be down to luck. See this thread and this thread.

Jedi Knight II and a couple of others will play in widescreen, but the majority will not.
