The steam binary is 14.8MB (15,523,840 bytes) version 1.0.6050.43457 (File Version)
I assume you mean witcher2.exe:
Retail Version: 22,5MiB (23.664.128 Bytes); File Version 1.0.6041.43456
Remember that the Retail Version uses SecuROM, while the GOG version does not use any copy protection at all! Dunno about Steam version etc.

Steam version ? Run flawlessws, choose the The Witcher 2 ( Steam ) plugin at left, then check the "Enabled" box (right), only then run the game.

I can also confirm that the retail version of the witcher2.exe file is the same as Falcon1's response.
Retail Version: 22,5MiB (23.664.128 Bytes); File Version 1.0.6041.43456
Hayden - Let me know if you need any files from the retail version to make your program compatible with it. I can PM/Email you the necessary files.
Thank you both Hayden and Thales100 for your efforts to making this work and I look forward to more updates.

i am running it as admin all the time. (windows xp, this cant be the problem, or?)
when the game is running and witcher process is found, does he say anthing, like "witcher found" or similiar? because he is searching all the time.

I'm using the retail version of Witcher 2.
When i start up the plugin, it already says game is detected even though I haven't started the game up. The Plugin Status Messages section says this:
Game Detected: True
Detected Resolution: 901x970
Original Aspect: 1.7778
New Aspect: 0.9289
When I start the game up and alt tab out to look at this, the message doesn't change, and pressing the hotkey in game (Alt) doesn't do anything.

Whoops, looks like I didn't have the plugin and program in the bin folder. When I put it there it works correctly in seeing there is no Witcher 2 before I start, and then it detects the game when I do start it. But hitting the hotkey still does nothing.

the EXE (flawlessws.exe) and the DLL must be in the same folder, anywhere is fine, they do not go in the witcher folder!
Also for the guy's seeing strange detection habbits, the app is looking for a window named "The Witcher 2" - if you have any other windows open with this name then its entirely possible flawlessws will latch onto the wrong window, additonally, when you see a strange Resolution in the status thats because you have it minimized! of course the resolution will be tiny!
And I have no idea if it runs on Window XP... I pretty much consider Windows XP to EOL and unsupported.
[edit]requesting the GOG exe is probably borderline piracy... please dont provide the GOG exe[edit]
