[quote]Some small feedback here. I noticed on my right monitor, there is a rather strange line of white dots. Also, some of the text is stretched.

Are you running the Steam version ?

Yup, Steam version.

EDIT: It seems that while the game's FOV changes for a character conversation, the white dots disappear, and the text is not stretched, but normal.

great work hayden!!! amazing job mate. you are showing up the professionals on how to do their jobs.

this community owes you matey

i am running the steam version as well. im getting the white dots on the right screen too.

the biggest problem for me which isnt haydens fault is that i have to run the game windowed. the damn game wont even start if i select full screen in the launcher.

sadly as i have multi GPU;s only 1 gpu is working and have a really bad frame rate.

once the devs patch the problem this fix will work great... great job hayden!

does anyone else have this problem?

btw im running a ATI 5970 watercooled

I'm not sure if this is just restricted to just AMD, but my Nvidia SLI setup is getting what I believe is abnormally low FPS. If you look at my screenshot above, I have EVGA Precision going and it is using a good chunk of both my GPU's, although I don't know if the actual game itself is taking advantage of AFR technology.

Yep, 3-way SLI GTX 480 here, only windowed mode, fullscreen wont launch the game, hope the developers can fix this soon.

Thanks Hayden!!

I am having some problems with Flawless Widescreen crashing. As soon as I pick any plugin from the dropdown the app crashes with a "flawlessws.exe has stopped working."

I have installed all the c++ 2010 Redistributables (86 and 64), closed all background apps, disabled av and ran as administrator and it still crashes instantly I pick any game. I'm running Win7 64 Pro with a AMD 6970(11.5). Anyone have this problem before?

-edit, nevermind I fixed it. I was running the app with the dll right off my desktop. As soon I as I put them both in a folder on the desktop it now works correctly.

Great work Hayden! Is there any way to get this to work for us non-steam users? My copy is legit. I bought it from GoG.

Thank you

Sorry, I'm not sure if it's been tested for anything other than the Steam version at the moment. I'm sure HaYDeN will get to it, just gata wait. 8)

Ok, I fixed the issue of hashstack.dll by placing both files from the zip into a different folder as apposed to desktop.
But now the hotkey won't do anything :| I am running the D2D edition though. Under resolution detected it says 160 x 27

Hey guys - long time lurker, first time poster :)

Just wanted to thank HayDen for the fantastic work on getting this up and running - I've been putting off starting what I hope will be a fantastic game because of the lack of Eyefinity (and the lack of crossfire) support, and now, the part that I thought was going to take longer of the two is ready to go.

I just tested it on my Steam version and it works perfectly (with the annoying exception of having to run it in a window, for the same reason as everybody else).

I guess I'm going to hold off until the patch comes out, but just wanted to add my voice to all the folks thanking you for such an awesome job :)

Hmm, strange bug. When dialog, inventory, or anything that was framed before pops up. My cursor no longer can move past half way point on my screen. Looks like the frame for the cursor got moved to the far left and is now bound to a maximum of the old 16:9 width.

Out of those interaction screens the cursor is fine, same with the main menu.

Just a tip for people only able to run in windowed mode:

Set your desktop resolution to 1920x1080, and then launch the Witcher.

You should find that the game then launches in fullscreen at your chosen res.

Wow hayden, amazing job and so fast too! :). Definitely worked for me. Unfortunately since I can't run the game full screen, it's not getting anywhere near playable performance even with pretty much all graphics settings set to low. So I have to play single screen till they fix the full screen bug :(.

Hi Guys - thanks for your input, I am aware of the GUI mouse restriction appearing on occasion, altho if you launch with Flawless running... it shouldn't happen any where near as often, if you apply it mid way through or while its running then you will see it often....

The fullscreen performance issue is there even without patching/modifying it, your best to set it to run windowed at the fullscreen res you desire in the stock launcher, make sure your taskbar etc is minimized, other than 2-3 pixels down the bottom it should pretty much seem like its running fullscreen.

The correct process for launching any game going forward with this new tool is to start Flawless and enable the hack for the specified game, THEN launch the game, the hotkey is for turning it OFF and ON after its already been launched, shouldn't be using it to enable it after the game has launched. [however the witcher is the only game that will do strange things due to it]

BTW - all your thanks should be directed at Thales100 - he donated the game specifically to be fixed for you guys... cheers, Thales100.

RE: GOG - it seem's its not byte compatible with the Steam release...... (judging by the PM's and responses saying GOG version doesn't work with this) -- can someone confirm its base address?

The steam binary is 14.8MB (15,523,840 bytes) version 1.0.6050.43457 (File Version)
