[quote]...but I'm glad that the last mission in this game was by far the most fun...
Were we playing the same game? I felt the end was a letdown of epic proportions. :(
...am I too demanding or something? 8)
The last part was pretty intense for me because I was trying to not let anyone die. So speed was of the essence. I also greatly enjoyed blasting people off of the platforms with Throw or Shockwave
I was playing on Normal though. I think it's time to replay it with an Infiltrator on Insanity.
Ah, I just read that if Shepard dies at the end, your save file won't import into ME3. Makes sense. You'd have to really try to have Shepard die though.
according to bioware boards you'd have to NOT upgrade any system of the normandy and NOT do any loyalty mission; that's when you're most likely going to end up pretty much dead ^^
and yeah, it was a bit of a letdown at the end, better then that ridiculous fight with saren in ME1 but still ...
at least they could have made it longer, i mean seriously, they said the ship allone was big enough to take in earths population, but the station which is like 100times bigger is like 500m long and you're through with it in about 30-45minutes?
good game, but my next playthrough will have to wait till some more DLCs become available

SPOILER!!!! Highlight to see. The only way for Shepard to die is for your entire team to die by the end, which as you said require you to not do any ship upgrades or loyalty missions. This causes no one to catch Shepard when he tries to make that last jump towards Normany in mid-air.
800k+? thats a lot of dough ... only spend a few hours scanning, only when i needed resources for a new upgrade, so it only took me about 35hours. 50+ is really impressive, but i suppose it will only get a few hours more with new dlcs ... whenever they may come
I found that ME2 is a whole lotta fun! Sure hope some DLC missions start coming out.
We got two already and a massive third one has been announced with multiple new tank missions. There is also a new character coming, some female assassin.
did I hear 7USD ?
yeah I just checked and this is it... 7USD or about 5.25 € (according to XE.COM)
is this really overpriced ? I mean from the video up there, it seems to me like some nice additions to the game, unlike the second DLC for Mass Effect 1 ...

Yeah, but for only 1 hour of gameplay?
Games cost more because devs are trying to get by solely on AAA blockbusters, instead of also creating smaller more indie-like games that got them where there are. Smaller, cheaper games that focus on great gameplay rather than pushing budget boundaries.
They miss the revenue stream that smaller easily developed games gave them, and try to substitute DLC in place. Unfortunately, DLC is 99% of the time a really bad deal for the customer, being nearly the cost of an indie game in some cases for very little actual content, on top of the cost of the original game!
To summarize: I feel major devs should take the philosophy of cheaper games to more people (the population just goes up!), along with lighter games at lower costs as a way to keep revenue flowing between blockbusters and to keep actual "gameplay" creation skills sharp. Because the lighter, smaller, cheaper game can't rely on uber graphics and next gen tech and famous voice actors to carry them. And one of their lighter games that succeeds beyond expectations could become their next AAA title with a sequel and funding to match. So their potential AAA IP pool is also increase with this development philosophy.
Then there's the flip-side of the immense popularity of games such as the one made by Pop-Cap, which take about 10 minutes to puke out, are easily picked up by housewives and old people, and cost a surprising amount.
