Was contemplating GTAIV, decided against it since it is such a system hog.

GTAIV was awesome. Highly recommend it. Ran fine for me. Specs below.

GTA4 runs perfectly fine if you have a quad... it seems to be the dual-core blokes that have issues, but honestly guys that means it's time to upgrade. Quads have become the new standard very fast because the consoles are based on great processors. Passing up the amazing GTA4 for $7.50 is insane.

This Steam sale hit in the middle of my latest "not using Steam" thing, so though I may regret it my purchases are limited to online-only titles. Some of these indies for $1 or 2 are very tempting, but it all adds up... I put all the little $1 or so games in my cart and when I went to checkout it was $30, so I backed off. Will look through them more carefully now.

Dual Core Proc
8600 with 256MB of ram

Basically screws performance

Put GFWL and Rockstar Arcade? on top of that and I am fine.

Probably will either buy a console or build some desktop down the road.

Well I have an E6600 and a 8800GTS 320.

I'll let you know how it goes... (but in other news, Dead Space in 4320x900 TH on dead low settings worked quite well).

Question:

Defence Grid: The Awakening is the only game I've yet installed that rams an EULA down your neck before installing.

Because of this, I read it...

There is one line that says it can only be installed on one computer.

Now, Steam allows access to games via account on any system, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has installed Defence Grid (via the same Steam account) on multiple systems?

I haven't actually tried PS, I'm sure that it works fine though. Probably just a largely stock EULA.

Yeah, but with no other games even bothering to show their EULA, it made me read it in detail to make sure I wasn't selling my mind, body and soul to them by installing the game...

Although EULAs are regarded widely as unenforceable, so who knows?

Yeah, you spammed my steam "news thread" if you wanted attention or something all you had to do was ask ;)

I've had a metric ton of games show mean EULA before installing or ask me to click that I accept one they link to, so I am not sure what you mean.

Yeah, when I saw my community page my jaw dropped.

Did someone drop all his bonus on Steam? ;)

Holy christ, it would have been quicker for it just to say "Paradigm Shifter now owns: every game on Steam".

You're never even playing anything when you're online, how the hell are you gonna get through all of them!

lol, these nickle and dime sales are starting to cost me because I've been picking up stuff every few days now. Today I bought Dirt 2 and NFS Shift. Not exactly nickle and dime, but still on sale. :cheers

I have Defense Grid installed on two computers, though the one is almost always set to offline mode.

Eh, sorry about that. 8)

Until recently, I've only really had Valve games on Steam, so never got Steam flashing me up an EULA. Or at least, I don't remember it...

Yeah, when I saw my community page my jaw dropped.

No, not at all. :) No bonus, for a start. :doh

Because I often play them offline, dood. Duh. :D Plus, several of those 'complete packs' were for two games... they just would have cost me more to buy them separately than in the packs, so I bought the packs! I'd rather pay £30 for a big pack, than £40 for two games...

I have Defense Grid installed on two computers, though the one is almost always set to offline mode.

Fair enough. Cheers for the info. :)

Looks like EA Games has some good deals going right now too.

Thanks goes to Chizow over at EVGA forums for this link:
If you're looking for EA games, like NFS: Shift or Burnout Paradise, EA Store has a big sale going on. 40% off if you buy two games with another stackable coupon for an additional 30% off with code "EAPARTNERS2009". I'm sure they have the other titles in those franchises too.
