No ... currently there is no way to gain horizontal FOV.
At best all that will do is add to the vertical FOV.
It takes the aspect ratio from your desktop but it does not add to the horizontal FOV no matter what you do.
Horz+ would be needed to fix the FOV in widescreen.

Not to side track us... but i can't believe the thread was closed in the official ubi forums? Thread bumping? The guy that it was blamed on didn't even do anything offensive...
Anyway enough ubi forum rubbish, just had to get it out of my system.

Thanks! Awesome work, just a few questions
Does it have to be running in the background?
Do I have to set it before each play session?
I've used his fixes for plenty of other games and this works the same way, you run the little executable and it gives you some extra commands while in-game to adjust the fields. Its yah gotta be running in the background but it will remember the settings you last had.
One further hurdle for me I've realized: Each time I load the game it uses all three screens but only displays on my far left until I toggle my resolution to another and then back to my favoured. Anyone else have this happening or is it just something I may have accidentally done in the playerprofile.whatever file in the far cry folder of 'my games' perhaps?

thanks for the fix!
Can we get a motion blur fix? On ubisoft forums people were complaining about how their eyes hurt from the widescreen cropping, but i think its 95% from the motion blur which is unbearable in this game. Is there a way of fixing this?

Hi folks,
I also registered to thank for the fix! :D
I do have a question though: I have noticed that towards the corners of the screen image gets stretched and shapes get, well, botched. For instance, the moon is perfectly round in the middle of the screen but when it enters a screencorner area, it turns into an ellipse. Do you get this too or am I doing something wrong? My monitor's native resolution is 1440:900 and I have set the hack values as advised: x1.31, y1:253.
What do you reckon?

Unfortunately every time I try to enable the fov hack my game crashes. :(
Sorry to hear that ... Racer _S will see this post and hopefully take a look for you.
Are you using a noCD ?
It works for me with the original retail .exe and the Razor 1911 noCD
