Apparently ... older PC's will be able to run Crysis ...

Speaking to Next-gen.biz, Cevat Yerli said he wanted to make the game available to a wide range of PC fans rather than just those that could afford hi-tech top-of-the-range systems.

He said: "We developed almost all effects to be very scalable for different hardware specs. Fortunately this is much easier now that we can rely on the existence of hardware shaders. We believe clearly that Crysis will be enjoyed by a large audience that dates back to gamers with two to three-year-old gaming rigs."

But there's a sting in the tail, although Crysis doesn't require PC owners to have Windows Vista, this could change in time. Yerli added: "Most likely we will upgrade all dev stations to Vista and move to Vista-only titles, but that's not 100 percent decided yet."

They do these things all the time. Where probably just finding out right now when it will be launched most launch times start with some Idiot with a website that says it and then some one diggs it and then it the chaos effect.

Why is everyone upset about game play, when technically the game has not even been released? How can you comment on a game that in itself is introducing new game mechanics through the graphics engine itself. The face paced ability to switch your strengths and weaknesses on the fly is going to be an interesting variable to gameplay as it is. The game honestly looks like it's strength is in single player anyways.

PCGames.de have published a new article from Cebit in germany. The that article reports Crysis running at a resolution of 1920x1200 on a single 8800GTX accompanied by an Intel 6800 dual-core CPU. The frame rate is estimated to be at about 20 - 25 fps with stutters every now and again. The game still has a lot of optimizing left to go which is good news for all those interested. This report is unconfirmed by Crytek and therefore the information could be incorrect.

Considering it's still in Alpha that's pretty good! And im guessing they mean the game's running at the highest graphics. And isn't it nice to see a widescreen resolution noted? :)

I really do hope multiplayer is good. No use having some amazingly graphical game only to be played once or twice through.

FarCry multiplayer was substandard, I hope it is much better than that.

How much Crysis will cost when released?

Speaking of releasing, it'll probably be released in fall.
