I've been gaming for 25 years now, and to be fair I will list the games that made me sit up and go OMFG!

Ghosts and goblins on the ol' ZX

Head over Heels on same ZX

Wing Commander on the Amiga

Unreal Tournament on PC

F22 Lightining 3 on PC, first ever game to have nukes as weapons :twisted:

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter just because the eye candy was amazing

Titan Quest

1. StarCraft (WarCraft also counts here)
2. Mafia - Probably the best plot for a computer game.
3. TES 4: Oblivion - Need I say more?

5. Tribes 2 - an awesome game that didn't received it's rightful glory.
