Hmm, and I always set those numpad keys to weapons myself. How about the totally useless(I think?) F9 and F10 keys?

Ok guys ... I hear ya on the number pad keys ...

After some consideration of the issue I think it would be best if the ... F1 F2 F3 and F4 Keys ... were used ... they are not used in the game.

Some of the higher "F" keys are used in the game ... we don't want to be acidently pressing the wrong key.
Also I use F9 F10 F11 and F12 for Fraps.
Also as kyleb pointed out the - key is used to show/hide the HUD.

Re: Text corrupt in TH2go

Post by Paddy the Wak »

I don't have time to test more now, but i lose end of text lines when talking to someone with Thead resolutions (ie 3840*1024) - FOV 240 - 0,9 i'll look further to see if other settings in your tool can avoid that - btw, nice tool, thks!
Yeah I have noticed this too ... I haven't found a way to fix it ... :(

For the vista users out there. Run the tool in compatibility mode (XP
+SP2). In addition i selected the run as administrator checkbox, and it worked fine :).

Yeah, Im running Vista Ultimate, and I cant get this hack to work. I run it and all, but nothing happens. Ah well, guess I'll keep my eyes open for any other alternative for getting widescreen to work properly.

I'm running Vista Ultimate too, but it works for me. :?

Question: (I currently dont have access to my PC at this time)

So you can safely close the hack after its been applied, correct?

PS. Paddy> thanks for the heads up on the Vistsa problem. :D

Yes ... just Alt+Tab out of the game and close the hack ... re enter the game.
You would have to do this each time you start the game.

However ... the hack now uses the F1 to F4 keys (instead of / * - and +) so there is no need to close it is there ?

No worries ... :D

True, however, I like to have the least amount of things running in the background when playing games. A bit obsessive I know...

Now........if only I could get surround sound to work in this game!

Tried it. Dont think that fix works for Vista.

Well, text corruption seems Thead related...

Post by Valjack »

I tried with normal settings and Thead resolutions, with or without your tool:

in fact you lose parts of the on-screen discussions (text) with NPC.. i don't know for others, but for me this mean i'll have to wait until Matrox,Nvidia,THQ or God himself (Racer_S ?) fix that very annoying bug... as i see i'm not the only one to have it, i hope they 'll take time for that...

As Matrox closed his Thead forum (too many problems?) but launch a new product (DVI Thead), i don't know what to do... Play or Wait ??? ok, i'll wait... :-)

I adjusted the scoped views so they are round in widescreen rather than stretched into ovals, both 16:9 and 16:10 versions. Simply unzip the aproprate version into your game directory and let it overwrite the fsgame.ltx, there is a copy of the orignal file included incase you care to revert to defaults:
