I don't know yet. The icon is kind of solid. I'd like to have something more modern/catchier. So I could use it as a logo on my site or something. The current icon wouldn't look that great larger.

I could change the text back to say that, I just thought it was a bit redundant. ;)

It's redundancy vs. a 75% blank bar. Helps stress out the surround modes group in the drop-down list, too.

That's true about the blank area. What would I call the dual monitor selection then?

Also, I updated the beta a little:
http://imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/wsf2beta.7z

Changes:
[list]
[*]You can now use control, shift, and alt keys for hotkey binding[/*:m]
[*]Added more game DLLs[/*:m]
[*]Added missing systray icon from the previous version[/*:m]
[*]Shrunk the icons by 1 pixel in the combobox; there was a 1px overlap before[/*:m]
[*]This one is compiled as release instead of debug, which makes it slightly smaller. All-in-all, the new WSF is over 6 times larger than the old version, but it still all totals <200kb. Who could complain about that? :)[/*:m][/list:u]

I played for about an hour with MW2 MP and didn't get kicked. I also idled in a CoD:WaW server for about an hour and never got kicked by PunkBuster. It would appear that this new version is still on the safe side, but I'm not recommending you risk it yet.

Yes thanks for all your efforts. I know you said you use the beta at own risk- still so? No news from PB or VAC?

You're welcome.

I'm not going to submit it to either for review until after I've finished it and it's ready for a release. This way nothing changes in the code after I've sent it off and possibly affects it.

can you ask 402 on twitter if this is ok and if they will allow it on MW2 without vac banning?

I will when I finish up Widescreen Fixer v2.0.

He seems to pay more attention to Twitter than their own community forums anyway.

Widescreen Fixer still works with Wolfenstein v1.2. Just select v1.11 from the list and it still works.

I updated it, adding in some more functions in Library.WSF

In the WSFMath class:
Double DegreesToRadians(Double Degrees)
Double RadiansToDegrees(Double Radians)
Single CalculateFOV(Single SourceAspectRatio, Single DestinationAspectRatio, Single FieldOfView)

Aside from this, I added in some checks so that the application won't crash if no game DLLs exist at all. I also added Call of Duty 2 SP and Darkest of Days Demo (I don't own the full version so only the demo is supported for now).

Things left to do:
Finish update checking for individual game DLLs
Add the rest of the games from the old Widescreen Fixer
Finish new site

If there are any graphics artists out there who want to try and create a new logo/icon for Widescreen Fixer, I would appreciate it. I'd prefer some fancy vector art so it can be scaled up/down just fine. It needs to be simple enough that it can be scaled down to 16x16, but also so it looks nice and detailed at, for example, 512x512. Post some samples and I'll decide. If I do go with one, I'll definitely add your name to the application and site. :)

Not too surprising as this patch only updates WolfMP. To make things perfectly clear, maybe you could rename the menu entry as "Wolfenstein v1.11 & 1.2" though.

I already did. ;) Although I used v1.11/v1.2 instead of &.

I did the same thing with Call of Duty: World at War v1.6/v1.7

Maybe the site is cached for you. It's definitely updated. There's probably a way in your browser to force a refresh even if it's cache. I think for Firefox it's Ctrl+F5. I use Chrome and Chrome just automatically seems to update the cache.

I also replied to the e-mail. Thanks! :)

Hey dopefish,

why don't you provide Triplehead support for Battlefield 2?

Hey dopefish,

why don't you provide Triplehead support for Battlefield 2?

Because the BF2/2142 engine is incapable of it! :(

Yeah it is up now, must be a cache glitch.
No probs man, a Digital TH2Go will be winging its way to you on Monday :)

The engine just doesn't handle it. You can correct the FOV to be right, but other problems arise. Objects within the map start disappearing at the edges and it makes for a bad experience.

Well, it works pretty good for me: http://softth.com/?p=650

I mean yes - some things do look really strange like the HUDs
or the Mapmenu, but that isn't important to me.
