For nVidia Users (like myself):

1. If you want the cutscenes to be rendered on 3 monitors like the rest of the game only the "nVidia Workaround" needs to be enabled.
This will provide the best outcome with the least video glitches (however during cutscenes the image might "shrink" to 1 monitor for 1 second period and then reverting to 3 monitors aspect)
2.Using the above mentioned option will "stress" your CPU more...(on my AMD X4 955 @3.5Ghz its about 20% load only when using that option without loading the game).
3. For bezel corrected resolutions:
- Change your Windows resolution to the bezel corrected resolution.
- Using the witcher 2 configurator.exe select it.
- Run flawless tool. It should properly detect and use that resolution now.

Hayden, do you believe you can "improve" the timings when the values are written? like increase a little bit the frequency of writing?

Best regards.

I just wanna confirm that with the latest update, it works beautifully with my retail 1.1. Now the only problem left is the words on screen (ppl's dialogue that pop up above their heads) are somewhat scretched, hopefully that could be fixed. FANTASTIC work man, thank you very much.

Retail v1.1 works fine here now. Though, I still kept playing on one monitor... Performance hit in dialogue scenes is massive. In Flotsam, I get about 30-40fps (Maxed everything, Uber-Sampling deactivated) which is fine and well playable. However, dialogue scenes drop down to 13fps.

Any suggestions, what to disable or something like that? Unplayable this way.

"Maxed everything" start by unmaxing everything.. then slowly turn things back on until you get the performance you want. Also I assume you already have CCC 11.5b drivers which improves the Witcher 2 CF profiles.

I just upgraded to the latest Steam version 1.1
It was working with 6048x1200 resolution before the Steam update with HaYDeN's earlier fix.
But now I am no longer able to achieve that.
And the game automatically goes into 1920x1200 resolution.

I have the latest download from HaYDeN.

ATI 5970 with 3 24" monitors
i9 X980 CPU with 12 GB DDR3
CCC 11.5b

waiting to play until i can get back to 6048x1200 again. :-(

For the ATI users that have updated to 11.5b hot fix, is anyone else experiencing the glowing lights bleeding etc? I've seen on other forums that it is a problem with the fix, if I rename my exe to CompatAFR-1x1 I dont get it the bleeding but I'm able to use crossfire. Hayden does the flawless utility look for the witcher2.exe or would it still pick it up? I haven't had much success. Just a question.

I'm using the steam version of witcher 2 and your application is detecting the .exe find and calculating the correct FOV and everything but it isn't removing the bars no matter how I have the checkboxes configured, here's a screenshot showing you what I mean. I normally play in fullscreen but I made it window mode for the pic. I also tried launching the game through the launcher.exe and witcher2.exe in the steam folder. Nothing seems to be working, I'm stumped.

Well, it seems that this "patch" of theirs didn't really fix it. I mean, yeah it enabled three monitors, but now I have these nice long letter boxes spanning across three monitors. Is there anything we can do to remove them? I've updated flawless and tried checking a variation of different options, none of them seem to remove those letter boxes.

Anyway, thanks for continuing to support this HaYDeN. :cheers

The most interesting thing I discovered. (This might be just the Steam version...or MY version)

When I choose the options Remove Horizontal Black Bars, Stretch HUD, and nVidia Workaround, the black bars actually go our of their way to completely CLOSE up my monitors. The only thing I can see from that point, is a very small thin bar spanning across my monitors with a little tiny bit of the viewable game.

Here's a screen:

The nVidia Workaround was tested only on GoG 1.1 Version on nVidia hardware.... the best solution I found is to only have that option checked. Deselect the other options and see if is working on steam...
Nevertheless there still are some problems during cutscenes: The tool forces to render on 3 screens why the game "battles" to render on 1 screen. As a result you will get from time to time the image shrink down to the left monitor for 1 sec or so.... That is because CDPRJ decided to write in those memory locations the values again and again and again....

I see. Really disappointing on CD Project's end.

Oh well, back to Terraria while waiting for the game to be playable.

Try and disable Cinematic depth of field, that fixed performance for me in dialogues and cutscenes. And I can't even see degradation in visual quality. :)

Turns out, that I only had to turn off "Cinematic depth of field"... Now everything runs fine. I wonder if I can turn it back on, as soon as we get an official fix for Multi-Monitor. :hide

Heydan,

I know you modified the interval when you write your values from 50 miliseconds to something less.
I was wondering if you can increase the frequency of writing these values for the nVidia Workaround for like (5ms or something). I want to see if this provides better results. Currently some problem appear from time to time...

not easily.

If you are willing to try and increase the writing rate, I can test it and provide the necessary feedback...I've been meddling with Cheat Engine in the witcher 2 exec but can't say I really find out the code that re-writes the aspect ration and render viewport...
