[quote]I tried 1.66 and 2.0 beta versions and still can't get it to work :( I'm just trying to get the single player to work.
Any other information you can provide?
Have you tried using different versions for SP within the beta fixer? You need to go to the Settings tab and uncheck the box that tells it to only show the latest version. However, if you have the game on Steam, it should already be at the latest version and work just fine.
I use Windows 7 64-bit to develop Widescreen Fixer and use it myself, so I know it works fine with that OS.
For the fixers, when you press the hotkey, does it say it's enabled? If it says it's enabled, does it show a value on the application itself?
Does not work for myself either, windows 7 64bit - appears to have no effect.
[edit] the offset's you've picked are strange? [/edit]

The offsets are odd for a reason. Just don't pay any attention to them.
As for it not working for you, I'm not sure what to tell you.
I base my fixes on the Steam version. You two are the first two to ever tell me it doesn't work right. Maybe you two should find out what you're doing in common to see if there's a reason it doesn't work.
GitDat hasn't replied yet so I don't know if he figured out his problem or not.
The fix also doesn't work with pirated versions/cracked EXEs.
If you have a multilingual/different language version, maybe it has a different binary and memory layout.
Edit:
If you do happen to discover why they are odd, please keep it to yourself and not post about it. If you wish to discuss it further, feel free to PM me.

I jsut tried it tonight and oit works great. Though it didnt; seem to take when i fist hit the enable key. Maybe it just took a bit longer and i turned it on/off/on in my impatience.
But it works great, along with bezel management, I can finally play the damned thing.

I have used the fix before with no problems (v1.65) but today went to go play again and finish single player and its not working. I tried the beta but get some kind of error when starting it and also tried the newer 1.66. It detects the game, and it says its enabled but has no effect on the game.
I have up to date full steam version. Not sure whats up. Game update?

The error when starting it might be related to you not having the .NET 3.5 framework.
I'll see if there's a newer version.

I knew it was net framework just did not know witch one. So will give it a shot.
Maybe I just need to reboot or something crazy to get it to work. I would be more than happy to check the version # for you but I dont know how. The steam properties page does not give a version # and the last update was not very recent on the update history. In game I was not able to locate any marking for version number, most games have it on the title screen but I didnt see it.

I checked MW2 versions and Widescreen Fixer is still up-to-date.
I stopped updated the old Widescreen Fixer, so it won't work with the latest versions of MW2. You have to use the beta version for those.

At the top is a link to download .NET Framework v3.5.
Give it a shot and let me know.

Hey Dopefish will SP1 work of that net framework?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=D0E5DEA7-AC26-4AD7-B68C-FE5076BBA986&displaylang=en
The installer you linked to on your page does not work for me. It never runs any kind of installer. Double click it, see the run dialog asking me if its ok to run the .exe. Select yes and thats it. No installer and no errors.
SP1 here though the installer comes up, but gave me an error that I need to turn something on or turn something off in the control panel to install the framework.
Edit: Got it! That full installer linked above in this post works fine, the one that gave me an error was the downloader installer similar to the one linked from your page.
I still got a netframework error when starting the program with a game .dll in the folder, but no error without one. I just told it to continue anyways and it looked like it worked. I then closed it and opened it again and no error upon opening it a 2nd time with a game config in the folder. So looks like I got it fixed.

I think the error may have to do with the first time it's run ever. There is no configuration file created and it seems to have a bad index value for the drop-down selections. I thought I had fixed it yet again but apparently not. :) It should only happen once. After the configuration file is created it should work just fine.

Yeah exactly, but just a suggestion to use the new SP1 framework full installer as a recommendation, the other ones I tried did not install for some reason.

No problems using the fixer on steam since the game came out.

Modern Warfare 2 TH2G
Posted: 10 May 2010, 06:31
by organdonor
Hi Guys, I have 2 x gtx 295 vid cards, a TH2G and 3 x 24 inch monitors. I have tried but with no success to get Modern Warfare 2 to work in Wide Screen Mode. All I get is the normal view stretched out over the 3 monitors. I am desperate to get it working and have tried serveral suggestions from other sites using different utilities but with no success.
I would like to start from scratch if anyone has a solution
Please any help kindly appreciated
