Well... with the beta version of Widescreen Fixer, I have to say that the modular design is paying off already. If it were the old version of Widescreen Fixer, I would have had to release two whole new versions of the application itself just for one game change. Now I simply open the project file for a specific game, add code for the new version, compile, and upload.

More convenient for us too, if you keep all the modules in the same page we can only get fixes for games that we play. Thanks Dopefish,

I just loaded MW2 from Steam with an update date of Jan. 18, 2010. I downloaded the fixer from Dopefish's last post. Image is stretched. Did I miss something?

-D/L WS fixer v2.0
-added .dll file of games in directory
-open WS fixer, selected game, selected aspic ratio
-Start game (CoD, MW2), image is stretched

TY

You have to enable it with a key.

You can set the hotkey from the Settings tab.

Once in game, use the hotkey to enable or disable the fix. When it changes maps or you enable it at the menu and load a game, it may switch back to the default aspect-ratio. In that case just reapply the fix.

Can someone now insert grenade up my behind and pull pin please.

After looking more closely I noticed I had CoD4:MW instead of CoD:MW2 loaded...did you pull the pin yet!!!

Sorry for the inconvenience my man, all is good now in gaming land

wow - i am a coder and would like to say good job DopeFish ! many thx !

using beta interesting - worked perfectly for mw2 SP as long as i started it once in game, at menu it would lock.

MP however it is like it is not activating at all, i have tried many keys (even media play / stop) and get the feeling that MW2 has all keys bound, while in game i cant - or use the eyefinity hot key combo (ctrl-alt-shift-tab) to change back to 1 screen.

if anyone has any clues as to my probable stupidity then bring it on :?

Sorry to double post but i think its important for this post to move the thread to the top of the page...

Dopefish didnt update us but he actually already coded another version of the MW2.dll for version 182

Actually. I swear I did double post both in my main Widescreen Fixer thread and here. I wonder if the post in this thread got deleted or something. Maybe I'm losing my mind. :)

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and the Steam version of MW2. When I press the key to activate the fix nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? :(

@GitDat, if you read my earlier post I had the same thing happen to me. I loaded the wrong file and everything I did did not work either. So make sure you load the appropriate files and use the latest Widescreen Fix from dopefish.

It will work when all the RIGHT files are installed.

I tried 1.66 and 2.0 beta versions and still can't get it to work :( I'm just trying to get the single player to work.

Any other information you can provide?

Have you tried using different versions for SP within the beta fixer? You need to go to the Settings tab and uncheck the box that tells it to only show the latest version. However, if you have the game on Steam, it should already be at the latest version and work just fine.

I use Windows 7 64-bit to develop Widescreen Fixer and use it myself, so I know it works fine with that OS.

For the fixers, when you press the hotkey, does it say it's enabled? If it says it's enabled, does it show a value on the application itself?
