10.3 beta drivers
Re: 10.3 beta drivers
I know 10.3 is suppose to let you configure monitor color settings individually, does anyone know if you do other individual settings for the Eyefinity screens like set them Portrait - Portrait - Portrait (flipped)? So you could rotate just the right panel counterclockwise instead of clockwise?

[quote]boredtotears, did you use powerstrip to spoof your edid?
No i used Moninfo and Pheonix EDID designer. Why? Should I use Powerstrip?
Oh no I was just curious how you did it. I read that you could use Powerstrip and I couldn't figure out how. I'm gonna try your method and see if I have any luck.

Go into Phoenix EDID designer and click extract registry EDID. Then, save it and open in moninfo, and save as inf. Then click screen resolution and the screen you want to change, click advanced -> monitor -> properties -> driver -> update driver -> Browse my computer -> Let me pick -> Have Disk -> Browse -> then select the folder with the monitor.inf file.
NOTE: These monitors were almost exactly the same timings and had the same native resolutions and refresh rate. If you use this method and dont edit the EDID to have near the same timings as the actual monitor you could end up with a blank output. No permanent damage however.

Re: 10.3 beta drivers
I had the problem of BM not showing up in CCC after installing 10.3 over the top.
I tried doing a fresh install, to no avail.
I finally got it working by not only uninstalling/driver sweep, but had to manually un-install CCC and then re-install everything.
BM shows right up, and works great now. Win7 64 Ult./Radeon 5970.
(and I agree-these drivers ROCK :rockout Dirt2, for example, went up 10FPS! Far Cry 2 also saw an increase of about 8 FPS- sweet!)

Would it be possible for you to do a detailed write-up on how pulled this off? Like what monitors you're using, what your connections are? I'm using Displayport, HDMI, and DVI-D. I've been scrambling my brain for a few days now trying to get it to work. I'm running two Westinghouse 24" at 1920x1200 with a Sceptre 24" also at 1920x1200. I just cannot figure it out.
Driver Packaging Version 8.71.3-100205a-095620E

Provider ATI Technologies Inc.
2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1010
2D Driver File Path /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet003/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0005
Direct3D Version 8.14.10.0735
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.9606
Catalyst™ Control Center Version 2010.0205.1306.23449
Did you have to install the 10.2; install the 10.3 over top. Uninstall manually then re-install?

No problem...
I am using 3 Dell 2209WAs, two DVI, one on the Accell active dp-dvi adaptor.
I WAS using the 10.2s . At first, I did try to install "over the top", as a lot of people said that's all you needed to do. This resulted in a weird "blackout" for a few seconds, and then it appeared all was well. But that's when I noticed the "bezel compensation" wasn't listed as an option in CCC. After un-installing and re-installing, with the same issue, I realized both times the installer would give me the "CCC is already up to date, and doesn't need to be updated". This led me to believe I needed to actually un-install CCC as well...
Sooo...I went to "Driver" page, uninstalled the ATI driver. Then, I went to programs and features and un-installed the ATI CCC and the "profiles" that were installed with 10.2. Finally, I booted into safe mode, and used driversweeper to clean out the ATI drivers completely.
THEN, I installed 10.3 preview drivers- this time, it installed CCC without the error, and BAM, bezel compensation is now in my CCC.
Hope this helps- I know it sucks bangin' your head against the wall trying to get it working. Good luck! :cheers

Re: 10.3 beta drivers
Sorry I wasn't more specific. You can get there a couple of ways...
I right click my dektop-click
"screen resolution"
"advanced settings"
"adaptor"
"properties"
"driver" tab- Uninstall.
Then I re boot safe mode and use "driversweeper", to make sure all traces of the old driver are gone.

Re: 10.3 beta drivers
Argh.. this method did not work for me. I have now officially given up until final release. For the love of god please don't have this same issue on final release

after the above steps and prior to installation of the drivers, one more safe mode reboot and manually delete ati*.* from windowssystem32
I was 100% fail prior to adding this final cleaning step
worth one more shot dood! ;)

Re: 10.3 beta drivers
CheeWeez777 is using 3 identical monitors. bezel management in 10.3 working is no surprise. For people with non-matching monitors not getting bezel management, reinstalling isn't going to help.

Good find. My monitors (1 x hp lp2475w and 2 x Samsung 2443BW) are exactly the same dot pitch (0.27mm), so perhaps they just have a block on any combination of different monitors at the moment.

Re: 10.3 beta drivers
I've tried updating the drivers using CheeWeez777 and iThinman's method (thanks guys), but no luck. Think I'll roll back to 10.2 and await the full release. I just hope this is fixed by then.
Re: 10.3 beta drivers
I just used CheeWeez777 and iThinman's process and Bezel Management is now working perfectly for me. I have 3 identical 47" Vizio screens and I was not able to get belel management or even eyefinity group creation working correctly with the 10.xx version of drivers until I cleaned everything using this method.
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

Re: 10.3 beta drivers
The BM works great for me. It's making a HUGE difference in FPS and flight games, and to a lesser extent in driving games. Oh, Dirt2 performance is quiote a bit better, too.Though they really need to come up with something better than the yellow triangles. The BM UI buttons were all blank colors for me, but thanks to Ibrins' video, i knew what they did.
GTA IV runs and looks like shit now, but Clear Sky runs much better and the other games I've tried run about the same..
The profiles aren't saving properly again, but being a preview, i expected some issues. Main thing is, the bezel management works and is a treat to have a proper looking display.
BM performance loss is tiny. It took my width from 5760 to 6048.
