You can add SoftTH to the working column. The new SoftTH 2.0 pre-alpha worked first try 5040x1050.
I remember playing this game triplewide even with the zoomed in aspect and having a blast, now replaying the game with a better FOV should be even better.
Thanks GA!
For the Steam folks, do you suppose if we posted the GA-hacked exe they could try that version?
NOTE: If you want to avoid having to keep the dvd in the drive, you can use Daemon Tools + Mini-Image from the usual place...worked for me.
No worries, you gave it a go :) Atleast you fixed it for the retail copy, so now all I gotta do is 'obtain' it.
Maybe a normal exe would work with the steam version? That'd be handy. Problem is I dunno how to get a hold of the original exe... cracked exes are easy enough to find :P

I got it all working eventually. Problem was the game crashed somewhere in the first mission :( It was working fine up until then. I think it may be the game at fault though.
Annoyingly, all the pre-rendered cut scenes are messed up too, ie. Vert-
Oh well, it's playable at least. Many thanks for the patch GeneralAdmission.
Glad you have it working now. :onethumb And yes, cutscenes are still Vert-.
(I assume this is with a second copy of the game. If you got it working with Steam please share details.)
I have a new Frontlines fix in development that may now work with the Steam version of the game. If anyone who has the game on Steam would like to help with testing, please post here or send me a PM.
When porting plugins to the new version of Widescreen Fixer, I thought about porting my old Frontlines plugin that I never released. However, I figured there was no more demand for this game as it was pretty much dead on the day of its release. If there's enough demand for a fix nowadays I'll put some more time into porting it over. The only thing holding me back from porting it is that I need to reinstall the game, and it's a pretty hefty download from Steam.
Believe you me, the two-DVD install followed by the inevitable string of non-cumulative patches is a much more... intense experience than any hefty download could ever be ! :tired:
Playing FFOW again reminded me how at some point, I had reasonably high expectations that Homefront would be a good game. Damn you GA.
