[quote]Needs a Steam fix bad, I picked up this game during THQ sale on Steam but haven't touched it cause of the bad FOV :D

Here's a fix that will hopefully work on the Steam version of Frontlines:
DOWNLOAD STEAM FIX

Would someone test it and let me know? If it's successful I'll add it to the first post.

Thanks I'll put it on the download queue and let you know in a few days :D

Not yet. Other priorities have put my game projects on hold. If/when I discover a fix I will certainly post a new thread for it.

Thanks for trying. I probably won't be able to fix the Steam version then.

You can add SoftTH to the working column. The new SoftTH 2.0 pre-alpha worked first try 5040x1050.

I remember playing this game triplewide even with the zoomed in aspect and having a blast, now replaying the game with a better FOV should be even better.

Thanks GA!

For the Steam folks, do you suppose if we posted the GA-hacked exe they could try that version?

NOTE: If you want to avoid having to keep the dvd in the drive, you can use Daemon Tools + Mini-Image from the usual place...worked for me.

Help :( I was looking forward to trying this game but I have the steam version and the patch doesn't work.

What are my options? I could try downloading a pirate copy, patching it, and using that... but download limits down here in Aus suck :-

Anyone got any suggestions? When I try to launch the game from steam it dies with the error: 'Frontlines: Fuel of War failed to start (error code 51)'

When I launch the exe directly I get this error: 'Application load error 3:0000065432'

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Maybe a surround patched original exe + mini image would work?

Sorry about the Steam version. I don't think it's fixable other than via a memory edit, and that's just a guess.

Obviously if you can obtain a retail version you can use the posted fix. Otherwise I'm out of ideas.

No worries, you gave it a go :) Atleast you fixed it for the retail copy, so now all I gotta do is 'obtain' it.

Maybe a normal exe would work with the steam version? That'd be handy. Problem is I dunno how to get a hold of the original exe... cracked exes are easy enough to find :P
