Yep, I also killed Alistair. Ditto that Conjurer fooker. A few other fights later in the game were a lot harder than the Archdemon was.

I didn't kill Alistair and I played through it twice... just liked him alive for some reason.

Also, I LOVE BG2. I have played that game through like 10 times and even did it with many different mods and such to try to enhance game play. I think next I play through it I will just install a few mods, nothing that changes the story and play through it again.
