I just turned my game up to nightmare difficulty because my Arcane Warrior is tearing through everything.
Arcane Warriors break the game. I've had 3 playing, warden, Morrigan and Wynne as Arcane Mages and the game is just seriously broken when you do that..

Amazing game. My store bought copy came with some silly codes for "Fury of Shale" and some armor. I don't have the Wizards Keep or whatever, and for 7.00 I probably won't get it unless I hear it's VERY good.

Just did the circle tower in two sittings. Loved it. Long, but worthwhile. Don't get much cool stuff out of it, but the gameplay/story/choices etc are all top notch.

Is there are disappearing characters? I'm afraid of putting good gear on people after being burned in other games when they vanish in the story and take all my loot with them!

When characters leave you get what they had in their inventory. There might be one or two cases where this is not true at the VERY END of the game.

In regards to disappearing characters, yes they will definitely disappear WITH the gear they have equipped. In which case you could reload last save and then un-equip their gear.
Also use the code for the DLC that came with the game. One is Armor as you say, the other is a mission which may be quite useful to you.

FRICK!
I sold my Dragon Armour plate at the beginning of the game to get a better staff thinking that i could buy it back for more when i was swimming in money (which i currently am... got 100 sovereigns) and it's disappeared from my camp merchant's inventory!
That bastard stole it! So now Alistair doesn't get the full kit bonus....
Anyway to fix this? I thought merchants wouldn't sell my stuff...

Used to be able to deactivate the DLC, force load a save game, resave, reactivate the DLC and reload and you'd have it again.

Mmmm worked out to about break even as I lost all the other armour and had to rebuy that... which are a lot cheaper than the plate.

The Blood Dragon Armor isn't anything special, you'll find many more better pieces of armor later in the game.
Juggernaut Armor, Knight Commander's Plate, Armor of the Legion and Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor. There is no shortage of good armor in the game for warriors.

Yeah, thinking about putting the Warden Commander's armor back on. Doesn't seem as great for a tank.

My main (Mage) is wearing the Juggernaut plate... cause he's an Arcane Warrior! Plus Morrigan thinks it makes him look sexier than in a silly Robe.

Juggernaut becomes useless for an Arcane Warrior the very second you get Shimmering Shield (or Spell Shield) as those spells boost your effect/spell resistances to maximum. You want to hunt down Evon the Great's Mail, Fade Wall shield, Magus War Boots/Bard's Dancing Shoes, Spellweaver sword, Spellward amulet, Livegiver ring, Andruil's Blessing belt, Key to the City ring.
But Juggernaut Armor looks FANTASTIC (and Splintmail on the women)
Juggernaut
Splintmail
Cool helm
