You can supposedly get an fps boost by renaming the executable to Bioshock or FEAR.exe. Haven't tried it myself though.

[quote]is there any news/hopes of the developers adding native widescreen/triplescreen res support?
Widescreen support is native... not sure what you mean there. Th is added via ini tweak, which I agree they should patch so that isn't needed.
Sorry, i meant triplehead

this game left 2 of my mates spiting after they got to level 30ish their game saves messed up, one lost his skilll tree, special ability and weapon proficiency the other lad totally has to start over. i dont think anyone will wanna play this till it's fixed. i got bored and packed it in anyway, reached level 15, i like games that reflect skill not who has the best gun.

You could make a batch that copies your savegame folder before it launches your game. I think there's a thread on Gearbox's forums about it too.

Hmm. This game looks interesting. For those of you who bought it, has it been worth the money?

It was worth $35 on a 4 pack pre-order for sure, but its a full $50 now I think and that is harder to take down.
I really like the game if your a loot hunter addict like diablo and like fps games its a natural fit. It has a few issues though like some people having trouble connecting to games online and it doesnt have proper eyefinity support :(
I have not played it since the last patch witch was supposed to make some things better.

ha I wonder if one day ATI will finally accept that renaming executables is the bad way to go

I paid $34 but it would've been worth my $50 imo. Put a good 50 or more hours into it and had a great time with my friends on this. Looking to play some more once I clear out some of the gaming backlog that's been built up lately.

LOL latest patch (1.1) that auto-downloaded on steam borked my game and now i have to redownload the entire game... latest patch contains zero bug fixes... fail.
Also anyone noticed the hilarious change in price for this game for people in Australia... bahahahaha so terrible. Glad i bought it when it was like ~$55 AUD on preorders. (Terrible for anyone that was holding back waiting for a sale)

Before someone else mentions it there was a tiny furor because the latest patch "adds SecuROM" to the game, when really it just adds some pathways to the SecuROM protected DLC pack.
You say SecuROM now-a-days and people shriek and run for cover.

Often with good reason.

Not really. The activation model is actually pretty rare relatively, and personally I prefer it very much over TAGES and Steam DRM.

finally got this game. I'm finding it pretty good, it's hard to get used to the cartoony graphics!

After a while you completely forget that it's not 'normal' graphics.
