v2.0 is up

- What's new in v2.0 on 10/25/08?
* Fixed Lighting Bug with XFOV

http://tocaedit.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=121

Can you please update your links and mirror this, my server is taking a beating :)

Just a note, I've only tested this update myself.. if anyone has a problem with this version let me know as soon as possible.

Getting water reflection smearing/blankness on each side. Looks fine in the 4:3 area of the screen but not on the wide areas.

1920x1080 is 16:9 isn't it? :?:

[quote][quote]Thanks for the widescreen fix :)

These are the settings I use for 16:9, if anyone wants to try it

1.15 and 1.443

I use the sniper scope to determine FOV and I found this to be a decent setting. (Right click to get the scope and adjust FOV settings until X, Y settings are to your liking, while keeping the scope circular).

I tried this for mine at 1920x1080 and it's stretched? In comparison the default was heaps better. The sniper scope was stretched too.

His settings are for 16:9. 1920x1080 is a 16:10 res.

I'm using these values for 16:10 - X FOV 1.384 Y FOV 1.15

The scope is round. :)

FOV 2.0

Im certainly not complaining about the program. Just posting these so you have the information. You guys did a fucking awesome job and fov1 works perfectly for me. Ubi needs fix their damn game, and make it what they promised it would be.

Woah, you rock Racer_S :)

Anyone know if there is there some sort of calculation we can do to get values that give the right aspect ratio (for whatever our monitor is)?

I was playing around with it, when the game loads, it's normal, then when I enabled the fov fix with those settings, it gets squashed. Then when I disable the fov fix, it appears to be then at the new FOV, has anyone else had this? Also I tried doing it myself as suggested, but I found it hard to judge what is too far out, I more like to be told how it "should" look and work with that :P

I'd tell Racer_S that he has won '1 internets' but he already has three or four. Perhaps he would like an 'intrawebs overlord' trophy?

Here's a mirror link at PC Gamesource: http://mirror.pcgamesource.com/tocaedit.com/fc2FOV3.zip

If you'd like to post that as an alternative?

I'm testing this version now to see if I have any more luck with it.

Update: Nope, this still doesn't work at all for me. I don't get it :(

I'm setting the sliders to the recommended 16:10 values, have my resolution in and out of game set to 1680x1050, and when I run the game and load my save, pressing the numpad * and / buttons don't do anything.

Figured out my issue--apparently it doesn't work when I launch the game through Steam. If I just go to the game's directory and launch it, pressing NUMPAD * to turn on the FOV hack works great.

I am experiencing some weird shadows, most noticeable on the rocks in the mountains, that weren't there before--they seem to continually get lighter and then darker as I move around.

Any chance we can change the keys in the next version?
My laptop doesn't have a numpad, I tried running windowed and using the on screen keyboard but nothing changed.
*nevermind, i found out I can emulate a numpad on my laptop using letters.

Hi there I'm new to this forum, first of all congrats to the forum.

I have a simple question, I play the game on a 22'' monitor that is 16:10 (1680x1050), but I play the game at 1280x720(my card is shit (HD 2600Pro)) wich is 16:9. What FOV should I use?
