Whichever you feel comfortable with.

Multiplayer is 80 max, while single player is 160 max. I use 80 in both.

ah sry, i forgot to mention 16:10-widescreen..

I have been trying to use Widescreen fixer for about 3 days in both vista 64 and windows xp, but i can't get it to work! I start the program and set the parameters, bf2 1.41, 16:10 and I already had the command line in for 2560x1600, but when i use the program it says the game is running but i can't enable within the game. I hit the ; key in game and nothing happens. When i minimize the game and go to desktop, i can hit the key and it says it's enabled, but nothing happens!! When I hit the ; in game it should adjust the FOV on the fly right? I really want to get this working!!

Well, it doesnt show 1.1 fov unless i switch to 16:9 and then switch back to 16:10 it shows 1.1 but when alt tab back into the game there is no change which is weird. Also when i hit the ; key in game, nothing happens. I will try to get it to work again. Oh, by the way when using the res command line should i not touch the resolutions in the in-game menu, leave them at defaults?

its the keyboard layout that makes you believe it doesnt work. in the first place i thought that, too..

I had the same Problem... and although i changed the Layout of the keyboard in Windows to english (this button next to the clock) it changed it back to german once i alt-tabbed back to BF. Seems that u have to set it for every program. So just press alt+shift in battlefield and ur keyboard layout should be changed.

@dopefish, can't you test the triplehead resolution on your own? I mean the smaller triplehead like 1920x640 (3:1) or something like that.

Is just a thought.

V.1.41 I have the complete collection digital download. English version, 2560x1600 command line "E:Program FilesEA GAMESBattlefield 2BF2.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx 2560 +szy 1600 The fixer sees the game as running, when i hit the semi-colon key it say its enabled, but no FOV in the fov box and nothing happenning in the game. It's weird, since no one else is having this problem. Is it the nvidia resolution scaling maybe? 8800ultra problem, maybe? I am just stumped.....

I have the same issue, your widescreen fixer is running, it says game is running (which it is) and it says fix enable when I turn it on but FOV stays at 0.

I don't have the digtal download, I have the BF2 Complete Collection which should be the same exe as having the regular bf2 and yes I am patched to 1.41

Edited: I fixed it by repatching 1.41, I have no idea how that helped tho.

Even for BF2142. Install the game, install v1.25, install Northern Strike, reinstall v1.25, install v1.40. Pretty awkward. ;)

yeah, you know, thats ea.. :/

As a not-native english speaking player it's quiet hard for me to understand exactly what u mean, but i think i knwo what u r talking about.
So i just say:
I like it the way it is in version 1.32
I hate it like it was in the earlier versions ( i think i started with 1.10)

Hope it was what u wanted to know.

Sidenote: I only play Battlefield 2

In BF2 u don't have a red dot.. only with some few Weapons.
U have to aim oldscool... so aiming (zoomed in) with to olde version was very crappy. So good that u won't touch that.

With the my current version... 1.32 ... it's all perfect. I don't notice any disturbing lag. Maybe because i'm not a Pro-Gamer (but they are against against ur hack anyway  ).

I don't have BF2142, so i can't test it, but i could imagine that a "shaking"/"over-panning" weapon would be disturbing, no matter if the red dot keeps normal, because afaik the weapons in 2142 have all a little "window" around that red dot.

Have you tried using shift_; or control_shift_; , etc? Im using 2560 res as well in 2142, the only thing different than you i have is "+ menu 1" in the shortcut target. Good luck,

Hi,
i have a Problem with the fixer.
I cant enable it.
First i start Widescreen Fixer and adjust Game and ratio to 16:10.
Than im starting BF2 with +widescreen +szx 1680 +szy1050 in command line.
Thats the native resolution of my display.

The Prog. shows

Game Running: Yes
but allways Fix Enabled: No

Than i always try to enable it with ; semicolon key but nothing happens :-(

What im doing wrong ???

Thanks

First. David Rudie has been awesome in creating and upgrading an accomodation (it is not a "hack") which benefits many of us who want to use our gear to the fullest in our favorite games! He didn't have to do it but he did and made it available to us and has continued to make it better from the beginning. My hat's off to him and he has my heartfelt thanks.

I was one of the unfortunates who used version 1.30 online. That triggered a gamehack violation for my player. I don't know if any of you have experienced that branding as a cheater, but it was an incredible pain to get it removed. Took alot of perserverence, patience and careful explanation to a number of parties who I had never met before. In other words, if you had inadvertently gotten that violation, and couldn't make a case to the powers that be, odds are that you probably wouldn't ever get to play on a PB server again.

Dopefish. Please continue your good work!!! Also, please continue trying to get Evenbalance to pass muster on the newer versions. I know that 1.32 is ok w/ them. But it's got its problems and I'd like to try the newer ones but am nervous about the disclaimers.

Thx again dude, you rock!
